We offer shearing of small flocks within a reasonable distance of Peacham, VT. Our shearing focuses on providing access to shearing for small farms. We take our time and ensure both the animal and the owner enjoy the process. All animals will include hoof trimming and any vaccinations or supplements the owner provides. Prices are:
$100 minimum
$10 ewe
$15 ram/weather
Addition costs:
-Mileage from Peacham, VT over 20 miles
-Catching sheep $30/hr
-Barn set up/cleaning $30/hr
Sheep must be kept dry and out of the rain for a minimum of 48 hours prior to shearing. Have sheep in a stall or cornered in a small area of the barn or paddock prior to arrival. Refrain from feeding sheep hay or grain for 12 hours minimum prior to shearing. I need at least an 8'x8' open space (can be in the stall or paddock with other sheep if owner is actively assisting). I'll also need one outlet within 75 ft, and some form of lighting (natural or bulb).
